Exercise

One of the best things you can do for your body and health after liposuction is develop an exercise routine. Something to bear in mind with the procedure is that it removes fat and fat cells from a specific part of the body. One thing to be aware of is that the fat cells in the untreated areas of your body may overcompensate for your new lack of fat growth. Keep visceral fat from getting a handhold by exercising at least three times a week. For a well-balanced workout routine, divide your efforts between strength training and cardio.

Eat Right

Change up your eating habits after your surgery to not only manage your weight, but to feel just as great as you look. Fresh veggies and fruits are a must, as is drinking plenty of water to flush toxins from your body. Sugar and other refined carbs should be kept at a bare minimum, and any grains you eat should be of the whole grain variety. You’ll also want to get plenty of fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals from a variety of foods and liquids.

Follow Your Doctor’s Orders

Besides eating right and exercising, you should follow all of your doctor’s or surgeon’s orders. Take note of how long you need to recover before starting to exercise, any medications you need to take and physical therapy in which you should engage during your recovery.
